Shailer Park State High School is a vibrant school situated in Logan City. Logan City sits between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland. Our school community is drawn from the adjacent suburbs of Carbrook, Cornubia, Loganholme, Shailer park and Tanah Merah. The area is serviced by the Pacific Highway through Shailer Park, Tanah Merah and Loganholme and by the Logan Motorway where it joins the Pacific Highway at Loganholme.
The demographics of our school are:
- Currently over 800 students attend our school in years 8 to 12 including 40 students in the Special Education Unit.
- English is the predominant language however over 28 languages other than English are spoken at home.
- 26 students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
